Antony joined Collins Simms (now part of the Marshall White Group) and he knew from his first day there that he had found his vocation in life - a passion for listing and selling real estate.

Antony is married to Shelley and together they have 4 children. He has lived in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs all his life and has witnessed the exciting generational changes which have occurred in the 30 years he has worked in the area.

We embarked on the sale of our home knowing it was
difficult and volatile market but had made the decision to move to a larger home rather than extend. Clearance rates were down, media was negative but we figured that we were buying and selling in the same market so took the chance.
We had been interested in a property being auctioned by Marshall White and, although missing out on the property, liked the way Antony and Kathy operated so engaged the to list our home.
With two small children who aren’t renowned for
tidiness, we were dreading the campaign phase but it turned out to be easier than we had expected. There were a few private and building inspections but we always had plenty of notice to make sure everything was in order.
Kathy was there for both the day and evening photo shoots (something which is rare among other agents) and both Antony and Kathy maintained good communication so we had timely feedback from opens and buyer updates.
A number of things were tailored to suit us including our request to see prospective buyer information presented in a particular way and our meetings were held at times that suited us (including weekends, evenings, early mornings and Antony even came to our home on Father’s Day to finalise some arrangements).
The work ethic of both Antony and Kathy as well as dedication to their work is outstanding. Overall, a result we were comfortable with was achieved on auction day and Antony did a great job of working the crowd, conducting the auction and concluding the final negotiations. Of course we would have liked a higher price but in the
environment of the day, we weer happy and relieved to be finished with the process. Now onto the joy of moving!!

My wife and I recently decided to sell our family home in Empress Road after having lived there for approximately five years, having originally purchased the home through yourselves with Kathy Malcolm facilitating the process at that time.

Having lived in the area and bought and sold many properties over a thirty year time frame we had encountered the majority of the “profile” agents in the area.

Given we had found Kathy most helpful during the purchase process we decided after some research to commit to Marshall White. After a four week campaign the home was successfully sold after auction on Sunday 31/8/2014.

Throughout the entire campaign we were constantly amazed at the high level of communication and feed-back we received from both her and Antony Woodley regarding the level of interest in the home.

At the outset Kathy suggested a consultant who helped us successfully re-profile our home such that it showed maximum appeal to potential buyers. Within an hour of every open she contacted our-selves updating on what had transpired during the open.

After every open she and Antony left a handwritten record of people who had attended and their initial comments. My wife and I have bought and sold close to 15 properties and we have never seen this level of feedback previously. In fact given we recently sold a beach side property after terminating our contract with a high profile Boroondara agent (who operates down the coast) due to little to no feedback, the approach from your staff was refreshing to say the least.

Their attention to detail, and the constant feedback on the little things that made the campaign a success surpassed anything my wife and I have ever experienced.

On the day of the auction the process could have been potentially torpedoed by an aggressive low bidder but to see how Antony defused the situation and in concert with Kathy move other competing bids up to a realistic level was most impressive. The property was eventually passed in and at this stage Kathy stepped up even more and worked tirelessly over the weekend to consummate a deal at 7PM on the Sunday evening.
